Hedgehog Birthday

Hello Everyone,  Have you ever had a card in mind and then end up
with something totally different?
That's what happened to me today and I am happy I changed my mind.

Items Used were:
Sizzix Step-ups - Happy Birthday
The Hedgehogs are from Penny Black Stamps -  Party Time
Balloons are from Tim Holtz - Mini Bird Crazy and Things
I have gone over some things with sparkling Gel Pens but it didn't photograph well.
Happy Birthday is much brighter than it looks. The Happy Birthday I sponged white card
(after cutting out) with inks and put clear sparkling gel pen over it.
I'm so pleased with the result I put an 8 on it and will put it away for a grand daughter's birthday.
enjoy the rest of your week.

Bird Crazy with Masking

I apologise for some of my photos that are not the best as I was creating at night.

Items used:
Tim Holtz Stamps - Mini Bird Crazy and Things
Tim Holtz Dies - Mini Bird Crazy and Things
Dark Room Door - Texture Stamps - Splatter
Hello from the Impression Obsession Dies - Greeting Set
The flower pot is the Jacko Lanten die.
This card was coloured with Copic Markers

I like to stamp fine acetate (usually comes with the stamps you buy) and stamp all my birds on it with Stazon Ink and cut around them ready for masking.  That way they are permanently ready for you to use.  Coulture Creations two way glue, or something similar, allows you to stick them to your project and remove again without any harm being done to your project.
.

Decide which ones you want in the front line and stamp.

Once you do your first stamp you place the masking acetate over it before you stamp the next bird.

This is how it will come out, with the second bird partly behind the first.
You always stamp what you want in the front first and then the birds for the background

Always leave the masking on each one as you go, until after you have done the back ground as well.

Below is the result of using chalk for the background
and children's colouring pencils for the birds.
Birthday Wishes from the Impression Obsession Dies - Greeting Set

The below card was coloured with children's Water Paints.

So you don't have to buy really expensive pens to make cards.

Happy Crafting everyone.  May your 2017 be full of creativity
that will bring many blessings to others.
